EV Charging

What EV charger installation includes

Lakes Region houses and shops add chargers in garages, on outside walls, and in parking lots. We check the panel first, quote, and give a same-day response during business hours.

  • Charger compatibility for the vehicle you drive
  • Electrical capacity check before you commit
  • Load shed modules when a service upgrade is not required
  • Outdoor and garage installs, weather-rated for NH winters
  • Permits, inspection, and code-compliant wiring

Panel Capacity

Load shed and panel upgrades for EV chargers

A 100-amp camp service was not sized for a Level 2 charger. We run a load calculation first. A load shed module can keep the charger from overloading the service you already have. When the panel is the limit, we upgrade it.

  • Load calculation against the panel you have
  • Load shed modules so a service upgrade is not always required
  • 100-amp to 200-amp upgrades when the charger needs them
  • Circuit, breaker, and disconnect sized to the charger

Questions

Common questions about EV charger installation

How long does a home EV charger installation take?

Most home installs are done in one day. Time depends on panel access and how far the charger sits from the panel. Some towns require a permit. We walk you through that before we start.

Can you install an EV charger outdoors?

Yes. We install outdoor chargers and 240-volt outlets with weather-rated enclosures and GFCI protection as required. New Hampshire winters are why the rating matters.

What if my panel cannot handle a Level 2 charger?

We check the panel before we quote. A load shed module can keep the charger from overloading the service you already have. If the panel or the service is the limit, we upgrade it.

Do you install chargers at lake houses and seasonal cottages?

Yes. A large share of the houses we wire sit on or near Lake Winnipesaukee or Squam Lake. A charger in a garage that sits empty in January still has to be weather-rated and on a circuit the panel can actually carry. We schedule around the season you are here.

Do you install EV chargers for businesses and multifamily units?

Yes. Level 2 chargers for shops, restaurants, and multifamily buildings are a separate service, quoted the same way as a home install. Call or text 603-619-8875 or request an estimate.
