Home EV charger installation in the Lakes Region.
A 240-volt circuit in the garage or on the wall around the lake.
Home Charging
What home EV charger installation includes
Lakes Region houses add chargers in attached garages, detached barns, and on outside walls facing the driveway. We check the panel first, quote a dedicated 240-volt circuit, and give a same-day response during business hours. A load shed module can keep the charger from overloading a 100-amp camp service. Outdoor mounts are weather-rated for New Hampshire winters, including lake houses around Winnipesaukee and Squam Lake that sit empty in January. Workmanship and installation are covered by a lifetime craftsmanship guarantee, not the charger hardware.
- Dedicated 240-volt circuit in the garage or on the wall
- Electrical capacity check before you commit
- Load shed modules when a service upgrade is not required
- Outdoor and garage installs, weather-rated for NH winters
- Permits, inspection, and code-compliant wiring
Questions
Common questions about home EV charger installation
Can you install a home EV charger in a detached garage?
Yes. Attached garages are the common case. A detached garage or barn needs a feeder that can carry a Level 2 circuit, and sometimes a subpanel. We look at the run before we quote. Call or text 603-619-8875 or request an estimate.
What if my panel cannot handle a home Level 2 charger?
We run a load calculation before we quote. A load shed module can keep the charger from overloading the service you already have. If the panel or the service is the limit, we upgrade it. Panel upgrades for a charger live on our residential panel upgrades page.
Do you install chargers at lake houses and seasonal cottages?
Yes. A large share of the houses we wire sit on or near Lake Winnipesaukee, including Meredith, Alton, and the Squam Lake towns. A charger in a garage that sits empty in January still has to be weather-rated and on a circuit the panel can carry. We schedule around the season you are here.
Can you install a home EV charger outdoors?
Yes. A weather-rated wall unit is the usual outdoor home install. A 240-volt outlet on a post or an outside wall is the other path. Both need weather-rated enclosures and GFCI protection as required. New Hampshire winters around the lake are why the rating matters.
How long does a home EV charger installation take?
Most home installs are done in one day. Time depends on panel access and how far the charger sits from the panel. Some towns require a permit. We walk you through that before we start. Same-day response during business hours for the estimate.
