Decide loads and lighting while walls are open
List new appliances, island outlets, bath GFCI needs, recessed lighting, and any under-cabinet or exterior circuits before insulation goes in. Moving a receptacle after trim costs more than drawing it on the plan. If a generator or EV charger is in the future, say so now so the remodel does not block the run.
Check the panel before you commit to the layout

Coordinate with the GC and the inspection path

When should an electrician join a remodel?
Before demolition finishes and before drywall. Layout, panel capacity, and permit timing are cheaper to settle on paper than after the walls close.
Do kitchen and bath remodels need dedicated circuits?
Often yes for ranges, microwaves, dishwashers, and bath receptacles. Sharing those loads is how breakers trip after the remodel. We size that in the plan.
Can you work with my general contractor?
Yes. We coordinate rough-in and trim with the GC schedule and pull the electrical permit work we price.
What if we add a generator or charger later?
Tell us during the remodel walk. Leaving conduit, panel space, or a clear path now saves opening finished walls later.
