New Construction

What electrical work on new construction includes

A new house around the lake needs a plan before the drywall goes up. We design the electrical, rough it in, meet the inspection, and trim it out. We work with the general contractor and the other trades, and we give a same-day response during business hours when you call.

  • Electrical design and load calculation before rough-in
  • Whole-house rough-in: boxes, cable, and service
  • Lighting layout coordinated with the builder
  • Trim-out of devices, fixtures, and the panel
  • Permits and inspection for our scope

Questions

Common questions about new construction electrical work

What does electrical work on a new house include?

Design and load calculation, service and panel, whole-house rough-in, lighting layout, device and fixture trim-out, and the inspection for our scope. We quote that as one job, not a pile of change orders.

How do you coordinate rough-in with the other trades?

We share the plan with the builder, show up when the schedule says so, and stay in touch through trim-out. Boxes and cable go in after framing and before insulation, so HVAC and plumbing need the same window.

When is the service and panel decided?

As early as you can. Panel size and service amperage are cheaper to change on paper than after the meter is set. We help size that from the load list before rough-in.

Do you handle lighting layout on a new build?

Yes. Fixture plans and switch locations belong in the electrical scope before drywall. Deeper fixture-plan work also lives on our lighting layout page when that is the main ask.

Are lake houses and seasonal homes part of this work?

Yes. New builds around Lake Winnipesaukee and Squam Lake are a large share of the construction work. Call or text 603-619-8875 with the lot and the builder's name.
